Best Global Entry Enrollment Centers for Finding Appointments Fast
Not all Global Entry enrollment centers are created equal. Some locations release appointment slots frequently. Others are quiet for weeks at a time. Knowing which is which can save you months of waiting.

This post is based on appointment event data collected by Global Entry Now across 130+ enrollment centers. We track every slot appearance in real time, which means we can tell you not just where appointments are showing up — but how often, and when.
The Single Biggest Factor: Distance From a Major Airport
Enrollment centers inside or directly attached to major international airports tend to be the most competitive. High traveler volume, lots of motivated applicants, and strong awareness of alert services all combine to make slots vanish almost instantly.
If you have flexibility, regional enrollment centers and smaller airports consistently outperform hub airports on availability. A center 60–90 minutes from a major city often has more frequent openings and less competition for each slot.
Patterns We See Across the Network
Across 130+ locations, a few patterns hold consistently:
Slots appear most often in the early morning and late at night. Our data shows a concentration of new appointment releases between midnight and 7 AM local time. This is likely when CBP's systems run batch updates or when cancellations from the previous day are processed. Manual checking during business hours misses most of this activity.
Cancellations spike Sunday evenings. When people realize they have conflicts in the coming week, they cancel. Sunday is the most common day for this. If you have alerts active on a Sunday night, you're watching one of the most active windows of the week.
High-demand locations release larger batches less frequently. Rather than a steady trickle of slots, busy locations tend to go dark for days and then release 10–20 slots at once. This means that when something opens, a lot of people get notified at the same time — competition is fierce.
Low-demand locations release slots more steadily. Smaller regional centers tend to have consistent, lower-volume availability. Less competition per slot, but you need to be monitoring continuously to catch them.
Practical Strategy: Cast a Wider Net
The applicants who get interviews fastest are almost never the ones who locked onto a single location and waited. They're the ones who added 3–5 locations to their watchlist — including at least one smaller regional center — and booked the first one that opened.
If you're monitoring only your nearest airport:
- You're in the most competitive market for that location
- You're missing frequent openings at centers within driving distance
- You're waiting for one specific release window instead of any of several
Adding a few locations to your alert list costs nothing. The tradeoff is a potential 30–60 minute drive versus a 2–3 month wait.
Which Locations Should You Add?
We recommend checking the live availability overview to see which locations near you have had the most appointment activity in the past 7 days. The "Most Active This Week" section updates in real time based on our monitoring data.
As a general starting point:
- Add your primary airport
- Add 1–2 regional airports within 90 minutes
- Add any CBP enrollment center at a federal building or port of entry in your metro area — these are often overlooked but regularly have availability
Set Up Alerts and Stop Watching Manually
Checking the CBP portal manually — even a few times a day — isn't a strategy. Slots typically surface and disappear within 60 seconds at competitive locations. The only effective approach is real-time monitoring.
